For this week’s Feel Good Friday, we are highlighting the work of
United Movement Organized Kindness located in Las Vegas, NV.
United Movement Organized Kindness provides everyday necessities to low-income families and individuals in the Las Vegas community. They have operated since 2011, and provide a number of opportunities for their community utilizing their 16,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
UMOK holds monthly Community Relief Efforts every third Saturday to distribute school supplies, personal hygiene items, and toys. They are also holding their 2021 Holiday Toy Drive for the third year in a row!
In July of this year, United Movement Organized Kindness was approved by Good360 for international shipping and held their first overseas relief effort in Panama. They shipped a 40-foot container with more than $50,000 of goods including, housewares, medicine, diapers, clothing, toys, feminine products, pet supplies, and home improvement goods. Panama was hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic and has great need for donations. These necessities ensure that people in need will have access to essential items as they recover from the pandemic.
