On July 26, 2025, families from all over the community gathered at North Las Vegas Liberty Park to celebrate the 4th Annual Unplug and Play event — a day dedicated to laughter, connection, and the simple joys of being present without screens.
The park was alive with energy as children ran from activity to activity, making new friends, exploring games, and discovering the fun that comes from unplugging. Smiles, laughter, and playful shouts filled the air, creating an atmosphere that truly embodied community spirit.
A Day of Impact
This year’s event was one of our biggest yet. We are proud to share that we served over 616 children, ensuring that each one went home with not only great memories, but also a little extra joy to take with them.
Much of that joy came thanks to the incredible generosity of our partners Good360 and Toys for Tots, who provided donations that lit up the faces of hundreds of kids.
Community Collaboration at Its Best
We’re deeply grateful to the City of North Las Vegas for hosting such a meaningful event and providing a beautiful space for families to come together.
Special thanks go out to:
Good360 and Toys for Tots – for providing generous donations that made so many children smile.
UMOK Volunteers – for the hard work before, during, and after the event to make everything run smoothly.
City of North Las Vegas Parks & Recreation Staff – for their hospitality and event support.
Local nonprofits, schools, and youth organizations who joined us to share resources and activities.
Vendors and community partners who helped bring fun, food, and interactive experiences to Liberty Park.
Parents, guardians, and families who came out to be part of the day and embrace the unplugged spirit.
Four Years and Counting
Four years ago, Unplug and Play began as a simple idea: to encourage families to spend quality time together, free from the distractions of technology. Today, it’s grown into an annual tradition that the community looks forward to each summer. Every year, the smiles get bigger, the connections grow stronger, and the memories last longer.
As we wrap up another successful year, we’re reminded of why this event matters — it’s about building stronger, happier, and more connected neighborhoods, one unplugged moment at a time.
We can’t wait to see everyone again for next year’s Unplug and Play. Until then, let’s all remember to take time to put the devices down, get outside, and truly connect. 💛
