Community Cares Pop-Up Event Serves 86 Community Members Through
Collaborative Partnership
Las Vegas, Nevada — United Movement Organized Kindness (UMOK) was honored to partner with NHSSN and WestCorp during Saturday's Community Cares Pop-Up Event, bringing essential resources directly to individuals and families in need throughout our community.
The event began at 7:00 AM and concluded at 12:30 PM, with the majority of participants receiving services by 9:30 AM. Through the combined efforts of all participating organizations, a total of 86 individuals were served.
Event Attendance• 65 pre-registered residents• 16 residents registered on-site• 5 staff and board participants
Total Attendance: 86 Participants
Throughout the event, community members received a variety of essential household resources including bedding, groceries, cookware, and utility wagons. Many residents expressed sincere gratitude not only for the donated items but also for the compassion, kindness, and support shown by volunteers and staff throughout the day.
Collaborative Community Effort
The success of the Community Cares Pop-Up Event was made possible through the dedication of multiple organizations working together toward a shared mission of supporting our community.
Participating Staff Included:
UMOK• 5 staff members
NHSSN• 6 staff members• 2 board members serving throughout various shifts
WestCorp• 3 staff members providing morning support
This collaboration demonstrates the impact that can be achieved when community partners unite to address the needs of local residents.
Extending the Impact Beyond the Event
In keeping with UMOK's commitment to maximizing every donation received, all remaining food resources were donated to the Golden Rule Food Pantry for continued distribution within the community. Nathalie and the Golden Rule team will review inventory and verify expiration dates before providing items to residents in need.
Additionally, UMOK donated several bedding sets designated for low-income residents identified through Hassan's housing programs. Coordination efforts are underway to ensure these resources reach the individuals who need them most.
