Community, Tennis and LEGO® Bring Families Together at Lorenzi Park
On Sunday, September 20, United Movement Organized Kindness (UMOK) joined the Inspiring Children Foundation for a wonderful afternoon at its ongoing community tennis clinic at the Marty Hennessy Tennis Center at Lorenzi Park.
The event brought together 126 attendees for an afternoon of tennis, outdoor activities, food, music and community connection. It was wonderful to see children and families spending their Sunday outside, enjoying one another’s company, learning new skills and having fun on the tennis courts.
As part of the event, UMOK distributed LEGO® sets to 70 children. The excitement on their faces was a beautiful reminder that a simple gift can encourage creativity, imagination and meaningful family time.
UMOK would like to thank the Inspiring Children Foundation for welcoming us into its ongoing tennis clinic and for its continued commitment to creating positive opportunities for young people. We also extend a special thank-you to Ward 5 Councilwoman Shondra Summers-Armstrong for coming out, connecting with families and supporting the community.
This special Sunday demonstrated what can happen when nonprofit organizations, community leaders, volunteers and families come together with a shared purpose.
