When organizations unite around a shared mission, meaningful and lasting change begins to take root. United Movement Organized Kindness (UMOK), serving as a proud Resource Sponsor, is partnering with Zion Urban Farm & Community Garden to expand food access, promote sustainability, and empower residents in communities impacted by food insecurity.

Through the Adopt-A-Planter Food Sustainability Program, this collaboration blends resources, education, and hands-on support—giving participants the tools they need to grow fresh, nutritious food using accessible container gardening methods.

🌿 How This Partnership Benefits the Community

Resource Sponsorship with Purpose As a dedicated Resource Sponsor, UMOK provided planters and soil to ensure participants could begin growing immediately. Paired with Zion Urban Farm & Community Garden’s programming and outreach, families are equipped from day one with everything needed to get started.

Education in Action Participants receive hands-on training in container gardening, watering techniques, and harvesting methods—building confidence and skills that last far beyond the first planting.

Early & Measurable Results Fast-growing greens and vegetables produce visible harvests within the first 30 days, offering both nourishment and motivation to continue growing.

Empowerment Through KnowledgeParticipants gain practical skills and confidence, enabling them to share what they’ve learned with family members, neighbors, and peers—multiplying the impact.

Sustainable & Scalable Growth What begins with one planter can be replicated at home and throughout the neighborhood, increasing access to fresh food and fostering long-term sustainability.

This partnership represents more than collaboration—it reflects a shared commitment to community empowerment, food sustainability, and building resilience for generations to come.

As participants harvest their first crops and continue cultivating sustainable food practices, UMOK and Zion Urban Farm & Community Garden look forward to sharing ongoing impact stories and celebrating the growth happening within our community. 🌿💚
