🌱 Planting the Seeds of Community in Las Vegas

March 23–27, 2026

In 2026, United Movement Organized Kindness (UMOK) hosted a week-long plant distribution across Las Vegas, focused on increasing food access, promoting sustainability, and bringing the community together.

Throughout the week, people from all over the valley came not just to pick up plants and supplies, but to connect. The space was filled with gardeners, students, families, and organizations—all with a shared purpose of giving back and strengthening our community.

• 3,600+ plants distributed

• Gardening supplies provided to 98 participants

• Reaching an estimated 600–800+ individuals

This effort was made possible through weeks of preparation—from picking up materials and organizing inventory to sorting and preparing thousands of plants. What the community experienced in one week took at least a month of work behind the scenes.

More individuals will continue to be impacted through the efforts of gardeners and community members who dedicate their time and hard work to beautify gardens, schools, and spaces of serenity throughout Las Vegas.
